Big Bear...The Best Thing We Have Done For Our Marriage

Honestly, it was the best thing we have ever done for our marriage. We love Noelle more than words. We love being her parents........but it really was refreshing to have some time together when all of our energy was just focused on us. We had spent some of our honeymoon in Big Bear, so it was like we were doing it again.
We got up in the morning and had breakfast at this hole-in-the-wall. It was really yummy and the portions were insane!

After gorging ourselves we set off on a gorgeous hike. It was 5.5 miles and beautiful the whole way.

Here we are on our way back down the mountain.

After the hike we went back to the cabin to rest for a bit then went to the tubing course. $15 for the night session. It was really fun!

Here is Aaron going down.

Here I am going down. After tubing we had a late dinner and then crashed. We were so tired after such a long and exercise filled day. After breakfast in the morning we headed home. It was a great trip and we had so much fun.

Noelle did not miss us one bit. She stayed with Auntie and Unckie and had a great time.

My Birthday Celebrations

My day started out with lunch with my friend from church. Liz, the genius got a baby sitter for our kids so we could enjoy lunch without any distractions. Not everyone is in the picture but you get the idea. Food was yummy and I got some really sweet and thoughtful gifts. Thanks everyone!

That night we went out to dinner with Aunt Lorrie and Uncle Larry. We met at a great Mediterranean restaurant in Glendale. The food was delicious. The birthday dessert was on fire!

Yummy!

Thanks for the great night! I love you all!

Thanks to everyone for the wonderful gifts. They were so thoughtful. Thanks Joseph and Amy for the gorgeous flowers. I felt so special.

Before I Tell you Anything Else...Then A Cooking Lesson

I got to hold this sweet little two day old baby. She is just precious. Georgia decided not to come on my birthday after all... She was born March 29th weighing.........10lbs 8oz. It's OK if you say holy crap! because I did, too.

After spending time at the Meldrums, I did not like having to give the baby back, by the way, we went over to Aunt Lorrie's did something very exciting and delicious!

My cousin Shaun is married to a great gal, Donna. Donna is from Thailand where they have some of the most delicious food in the world. Donna's Mom is here in the US visiting and she gave us a little cooking lesson. MMMMMMM.......your mouths can start watering now.

Yum...Yum... Here is the curry she made.*Disclaimer* Authentic Thai Curry does not have these vegetables in them. We just added them anyway. This stuff was the best I've ever had. It was spicy and I have a hard time eating spicy. I am a wimp. To make matter worse my lips were already chapped and eating this hot stuff did not help. Everyone was laughing at my red lips, but it did not stop me.

The master herself making little nests of 'Thai spaghetti' we poured the curry over these.

These are glass noddles with vegetables and ground pork. I could have eaten the whole plate myself.

Noelle and Donna's nephew Ung had a good time, also. Little Natalie was running around but I missed getting a picture of her.
