Grandma's Doctor Appointment

Last week we spent the day with Grandma taking her to run errands and having lunch. Grandma has a disease called Macular Degeneration which has caused to lose her site, she is legally blind. She a special pair of glasses that help her see some things really close up. When we were out and about somehow she lost her glasses. We were so upset, she cannot function without them. We immediately called the eye doctor and she got on appt for the next day. We went and picked Grandma up and went to the appt we were there for THREE hours! I thought I was going to die. Noelle actually did amazing! She just played and played.
They had a little house that she was crazy about.

We took funny pictures of each other.
My foot.

After two hours I could not handle it anymore so we went and walked around until Grandma was ready to go. Luckily, they were able to order her a new pair which will be here next week. YEA!

Never Turn Your Back On A Two Year Old

I answered the phone and was talking for a few minutes. I hear Noelle playing in the background but it did not sound like anything out of the ordinary. Meanwhile, she got a roll of ribbon out of the closet and she wrapped the whole spool around the table and chairs.
The things kids come up with!

Aaron thought she was taking a nap but she was actually in the office playing with a marker. Mama's little Zebra.

Lucky Me!

Look what came in the mail from my very good friend Julie. I love belated birthday presents. It goes perfectly with our couch! This is the very first quilt that has been made just for me and I guess it is the first one I have ever owned. Julie is one of those people that is crafty and good at everything she tries. She also flew to California and helped me sew Noelle's crib set before she was born.

Thank you, Julie! I will love it forever.

A Night Away

Aaron and Noelle went away for the night and left me at home! They went camping overnight with some friends and I stayed behind to get some things done around the house. I've been doing some uninterrupted house cleaning. I can get so much done by myself but I do miss them very much.

Aaron made it home before we did yesterday afternoon and had already started packing. It was so cute! There is nothing hotter than a man doing housework or taking care of a baby. When we walked in Aaron had her bed, her little chair, a sippy cup, some milk, and baby wipes in the car. He said, "I got a bag for the out to pack for the baby and the wipeeeees all ready to go, what else do I need for her?" So stinkin' cute!

The Love Of An Auntie

I love my nieces and nephews so much, words do not suffice! I am so proud of their accomplishments.
Evynn is on the honor roll at school. Not just the regular honor roll she also received an award of distinction. You have never met a happier person than Evynn, she always greets me with a great smile and a big huge. My favorite thing about her is the text messages and voice mails she leaves for me. My sweet niece is an amazing little girl and is a true blessing in my life. This is Evynn's awesome big brother, Matthew. We were able to go to his baseball game and see what an incredible athlete he is. Matthew is so stinkin' cute out on that field. I wanted to run out there and smother him in kisses. Matthew also does very well in school.
Noelle LOVED watching "Matt-chew" play baseball, but, I think her favorite thing was the churro Daddy got her

Lunch with 'M'

We drove to meet Auntie 'M' at work and have lunch. It was a long drive and I paid waaaaaaay too much for my salad but, whatever, the company was good.

I Forgot To Add This Sweet Picture...

We had bought some snacks for our trip and we did not eat the 'Natural White Cheddar Cheetos' that Aaron loves. We have actually turned many friends and family members into addicts. Donna has to send them to her Mother in Thailand! Anyway, Noelle's eagle eye spotted them in the car and would not rest until her and Daddy were snuggled on the couch eating them.

Bonus: Noelle has turned into a baby lover. When you squeeze the baby she cries. Noelle then pulled a kitchen towel out of the drawer and trieed to swaddle her. Then she put her in the stroller with the cup, as if that will help. All the time saying, "Baby cryin'. It's OK baby."

Big Bear...The Best Thing We Have Done For Our Marriage

Honestly, it was the best thing we have ever done for our marriage. We love Noelle more than words. We love being her parents........but it really was refreshing to have some time together when all of our energy was just focused on us. We had spent some of our honeymoon in Big Bear, so it was like we were doing it again.
We got up in the morning and had breakfast at this hole-in-the-wall. It was really yummy and the portions were insane!

After gorging ourselves we set off on a gorgeous hike. It was 5.5 miles and beautiful the whole way.

Here we are on our way back down the mountain.

After the hike we went back to the cabin to rest for a bit then went to the tubing course. $15 for the night session. It was really fun!

Here is Aaron going down.

Here I am going down. After tubing we had a late dinner and then crashed. We were so tired after such a long and exercise filled day. After breakfast in the morning we headed home. It was a great trip and we had so much fun.

Noelle did not miss us one bit. She stayed with Auntie and Unckie and had a great time.

My Birthday Celebrations

My day started out with lunch with my friend from church. Liz, the genius got a baby sitter for our kids so we could enjoy lunch without any distractions. Not everyone is in the picture but you get the idea. Food was yummy and I got some really sweet and thoughtful gifts. Thanks everyone!

That night we went out to dinner with Aunt Lorrie and Uncle Larry. We met at a great Mediterranean restaurant in Glendale. The food was delicious. The birthday dessert was on fire!

Yummy!

Thanks for the great night! I love you all!

Thanks to everyone for the wonderful gifts. They were so thoughtful. Thanks Joseph and Amy for the gorgeous flowers. I felt so special.

Before I Tell you Anything Else...Then A Cooking Lesson

I got to hold this sweet little two day old baby. She is just precious. Georgia decided not to come on my birthday after all... She was born March 29th weighing.........10lbs 8oz. It's OK if you say holy crap! because I did, too.

After spending time at the Meldrums, I did not like having to give the baby back, by the way, we went over to Aunt Lorrie's did something very exciting and delicious!

My cousin Shaun is married to a great gal, Donna. Donna is from Thailand where they have some of the most delicious food in the world. Donna's Mom is here in the US visiting and she gave us a little cooking lesson. MMMMMMM.......your mouths can start watering now.

Yum...Yum... Here is the curry she made.*Disclaimer* Authentic Thai Curry does not have these vegetables in them. We just added them anyway. This stuff was the best I've ever had. It was spicy and I have a hard time eating spicy. I am a wimp. To make matter worse my lips were already chapped and eating this hot stuff did not help. Everyone was laughing at my red lips, but it did not stop me.

The master herself making little nests of 'Thai spaghetti' we poured the curry over these.

These are glass noddles with vegetables and ground pork. I could have eaten the whole plate myself.

Noelle and Donna's nephew Ung had a good time, also. Little Natalie was running around but I missed getting a picture of her.
