The Day You Were Born....

This is post is a day late.

This day brought an unbeliveable amount of pain but even more joy! Our baby girl was born. There could not be a sweeter blessing than a sweet baby. This journey has taken us to come amazing places and we can't wait to see what the future will bring!

Mommy and Daddy LOVE you Noellie!

Chirstmas Eve

Of course we had a great Christmas Eve with great food, presents to open, and people we love.
'
Here is a self portrait. Don't mind the food all over her shirt. She just had to take a 'piturrrrr'!

'
Auntie and Unc got Noelle this mechanical puppy and she is in LOVE. I am so upset that I did not get a video of her down in front of the puppy giving it kisses while it barked. SO CUTE!

Sniff...Sniff...

I just came down from rocking Noelle and putting her to bed and my thoughts wandered to this poem...

Mother, oh Mother, come shake out your cloth, empty the dust pan, poison the moth, hang out the washing and butter the bread, sew on a button and make up a bed.

Where is the mother whose house is so shocking? She's up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.

Oh, I've grown shiftless as Little Boy Blue (lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).

Dishes are waiting and bills are past due (pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peek-a-boo).

The shopping's not done and there's nothing for stew and out in the yard there's a hullabaloo but I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo.

Look! Aren't her eyes the most wonderful hue? (lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).

The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, for children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.

So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.

I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.

This is true, babies don't keep. When the clock strikes 2:28 am, Noelle will be two years old. I can scarcely believe how the time has gone. What used to be my precious little bumble who wanted nothing more than to nurse and snuggle, now just wants to run and jump and get into all kinds of trouble. Despite all of the work I thank the Lord for sending me this precious angel.

Christmas Morning!

Santa made it to our house and brought us some great gifts. We hope you got a visit from him, too!
Our Tree, notice very few ornaments. We just decided to not even deal with trying to keep Noelle away from them.
Trying it out...

She even sat on it to open her gifts.

Family Pictures!

It is 1:40 in the AM and I cannot sleep. I took a little snooze on the couch after church and this always happens to me when I do that. On Saturday afternoon we went to the beach and had family pictures done. It was freezing cold, there were hurricane force winds, and Noelle skipped lunch and her nap. This was a recipe for disaster if there ever was one. Luckily Noelles favorite place on the whole planet is the beach and so she had a lot of fun playing. Who knows how the posed family ones will turn out, but the candids are great. Heather sent me a few to sneak peak and here they are......

What Did She Just Say?

Daddy gave Noelle an animal cookie (a very special treat.) She accidentally dropped it and said, "What the heck!!!???

Where on earth did she learn to talk like that?

Friday, December 7, 2007

I said that Noelle does not like TV. There is one exception, this show on TLC. For whatever reason I saw it on the the guide and decided to record it one day. She watched it one time and now she is OBSESSED. From the minute she wakes up she is asking for Wilbur.

"Where Willburrrrr? Pweeeeeeze, Mommy Wilburrrrr?"

Noelle Is The Best Because...

  1. She lays down in the bath and says quietly over and over, "Oh da water...Oh da water...Oh da water..."
  2. Her favorite pass time (aside fr0m computers, phone or remotes) is to clomp around the house in every pair of shoes she can find (her favorite way to do it is stark naked while she finds weird things to put in her little stroller and push that around, too.)
  3. She comes to give me hugs and kisses then runs to the couch. She hides behind the cushions and says, "Bye Mommy, I yuv you!"
  4. She loves to eat nuts.
  5. She loves to plain yogurt, she would probably choose yogurt over any type of junk food.
  6. She loves to eat bread and whenever she sees it she loudly yells out, "OH, DA BREAD!"
  7. She loves to eat salad.
  8. I guess she just really likes to eat. She comes by it naturally.
  9. She has no fear (except dark rides at Disneyland.) For example, the waves at the beach knock her over and she jumps back up. She loves to ride in the basket part of the cart and when I stop abruptly it startles her and she bursts out in laughter. She loves to go fast, period.
  10. She is the world's biggest copy cat.
  11. She always wants you to, "Push it!" and she says it about 900 times a day.
  12. She does not like to watch TV.
  13. When you ask her where is toy is she say, "I dunno."
  14. She hides behind anything she can and yells out, "Where da baby?" and when her face pops out she yells, "Dere she is!"
  15. She loves doggies.
  16. She loves birdies.
  17. She loves kitties.
  18. She is very stubborn and I think it will get her far in life.
  19. She LOVES buckles.
  20. She is head over heels in love with her Daddy. (aka: Disneyland Dad)
  21. She loves to sing all kids of primary songs.
  22. Her laugh is the sweetest thing I have ever heard.
  23. She loves to tickle other people.
  24. She has the cutest chubby thighs.
  25. She loves her Mommy.

Disneyland!

We had a great time at Disneyland with Auntie 'M'.....
Noelle LOVED the teacups, but HATED Pirates of the Caribbean or any of the other dark rides.

The whole time Noelle's mouth was gaping open because she was so excited.

But next time we may just ride that tram that takes you back and forth from the parking structure because that may have been her favorite part.

Halloween Memiors of A Geisha

I sadly do not have pictures of Noelle when she was first dressed up with all of her make-up but we still have some cute ones. We had a really fun Halloween. First we went to our ward trunk-or-treat, then we went to Uncle Matthew and Aunt Letty's for a fun halloween carnival at the city rec center and door-to-door trick-or-treating, lastly we went to Tari and Dave's annual halloween party.

Mommy's sweetheart is so funny!

Lovin' Lollipops

Sunday afternoon we were just hanging out at home and Dad remembered we had candy left over from our Trunk 'or' Treat the night before. So, he and Noelle had some yummy lollipops. She freaked out because they were SO good. She kept pulling out of her mouth and saying, "MMMMMMM! Mommy! Yummy!"

Working In The Yard

The winds that tore through southern california did some serious damage to a lot of things including our yard. We finally had a evening to at least rake up some fo the leaves and wash away the ash that covered everything. Noelle loved ithaving her Daddy home so early! She was giggling, dancing around and hopping. She did wanted to do everything like a big girl, her favorite was throwing the leaves in 'da tash.'

BEST News!

The pathology report came back for Letty..........Drum Roll................. They did not even find ONE cancer cell. So, the pathology from the biopsy was either not right or it just found one little needle in a haystack. The doctors assume that it was a VERY NEW cancer starting to develop rather than the breast cancer metastasizing. YIPEEEEEEE!

Pickin' Out Pumpkins

We went to Lombardi's Ranch and had so much fun! It looks like Aaron is still chewing on some carmel apple.

My favorite part is always eating!

Noelle ran around like a crazy girls up and down the aisles picking up every pumpkins she could.

These are called the 'Big 'Macs' and you are not allowed to sit on them. So, Aaron is just hovering over the pumpkin and it looks like he is doing something else.

There were so many other things to do there but we were tired and went home. Sadly, though, the very next day the wild fire destroyed the ranch. The news said some of the pumpkins were saved but the rest of the ranch is destroyed. The family has been growing and selling vegetables for more than 60 years. They may retire and not open the ranch next year. :(

Puttin' On Clothes

Noelle loves to roam around the house puttin other peoples clothes on . Shoes, socks, shirt pants shorts, you name it!

Long Day

For those of you who know do or do not know about my sister in law, Leticia, being diagnosed with breast cancer last September. This September cancer cells were found in her uterus. We spent the day at Northridge Hospital Medical Center while she underwent a hysterectomy. Everything went better than anyone expected and we are SO relieved. Nothing in her abdomen looked even remotely suspicious, no masses, lumps or anything. Hopefully the rest of the lab results that are due next week will show no other cancer. Letty is doing amazing! She was able to talk with us this afternoon in spite of all the medicine she has received and all her body has been through. Her children Matthew & Evynn are so very tough and I am so proud of how strong they are being during these very difficult times.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, make note of it! Here is a link to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure website. Here you can download and print or send away for a card with instructions on doing self breast exams. Do not be embarrassed! These exams are the key to early detection and therefore high survival rates. Start these exams early so that you will become familiar with your breast tissue, this way you will be able to easily detect any change in your breast tissue later on in life.

NEW CAMERA!

YEA! We finally got a new camera! We got it at Costco tonight and I could hardly stand the 5 minute drive home so I could start using it! We missed some really great memories such as: Noelle going pee-pee on the potty for the first time, Noelle getting into my make-up and covering her body in BRIGHT pink lipstick, our fourth wedding anniversary, Kelsey's thirteenth birthday....the list goes on.

While we were waiting for Daddy to get off work we went to Auntie's house for a little visit. She was having some serious Noelle withdrawl issues and needed a fix.

Cute little girl smiling with her Auntie

Catching the tail end of saying, "Cheeeeeeeeeeeese."

Such a sweet face, I had to post it!

Uh, oh! Unc is getting out the Goldfish crackers!

Lena waiting under the table for one those crackers!

Those crackers make you so thirsty. She kept asking for, "Milk."

She is showing off her red painted toenails.

All of this fun today has just worn us all out... Sweet dreams everyone.

*Note: I do not buy character clothing. These jammies were a hand me down and I love & appreciate them just the same.*
