Little Promptings

Wednesday night we ran to the produce store to just get a couple of things we needed. I was going to leave Madeleine in her car seat and put it in the cart, but at the last second changed my mind and put her in the baby bjorn. Noelle had been such a good girl that day, I let her walk beside me rather than putting her in the cart. The carts at this store are very small and do not weigh much at all. We were chatting while I was picking out some squash and the next thing I hear is Noelle screaming. She had grabbed onto the side of the cart and her weight pulled it over on top of her. My heart flew out of my chest, it was so scary seeing her on the ground with a grocery cart on top of her! She was just fine, more scared than hurt. We were quite the scene with tomatoes rolling everywhere, lettuce hanging off, and who knows what else.

After several minutes of hugs & kisses she was feeling better and we were in the check out line...then it hit me. What made me change my mind at the last minute and not put the baby in the cart? I am very grateful that the Spirit spoke to my Mommy heart and I actually listened!

That is so scary...I'm glad she was ok. My kids stand on the side of the cart EVERYtime we go to the store...if you ever run into us at Target you will see me just smack them off of it. I've given up on trying to tell them!

What I am impressed with in the story is that you recognized the prompting. Life gets so busy sometimes, we fail to recognize those moments of inspiration.

That really is so scary, it really is a good thing you listen to your promptings because i don't and usually something bad happens i really need to learn to listen.
